The Singapore Police are looking into the fight between Kurt Tay and a perceived hater of his, Loh Jia Hung, at an HDB void deck.
Tay spoke to AsiaOne and said that he was taunted and challenged to a fight by Loh, which he then accepted.
He then uploaded a video of the fight onto his YouTube channel but has since removed the video after being requested by the police.
However, clips of the viral bout have been reuploaded across social media platforms.
Fight was not legal
Tay told AsiaOne that the police took his statement, and he was told by an investigating officer that he was not supposed to be sparring at the void deck.
Tay was then told that the “consent form” that Loh provided didn’t legalise the fight between them and that it was not official.
The form that both parties signed is an indemnity form that waives Tay’s right to pursue legal action against Loh in the event of an injury suffered as a result of the fight.

Challenge to fight
The fight had initially started by Loh mentioning Kurt Tay on Instagram, challenging Tay to a fight where he will only use one hand.
Tay then told him to come and find him at Yishun MRT “any time between 5.44pm to 6.14pm,” saying that he can “finish” Loh in 1 minute.
