A tour bus ferrying 20 people (of which 15 were Singaporeans) collided with a lorry near Genting Highlands on 13 July, with 5 people sent to the hospital, according to a spokesperson for Transtar Travel.
Two of the Singaporean passengers and the Malaysian driver remained hospitalised, with another two Singaporean passengers since returning home.
The Malaysian Civil Defence Force of KL (APM) said that they received an alert to the accident at about 6.30am, at the 29km mark of the Karak Expressway that links KL to Pahang.
The bus had left Golden Mile Complex in Singapore at 10.30pm and was scheduled to reach Genting at 6am, before the accident.
Trapped inside bus for an hour
The passengers were switched to another bus sometime after crossing the causeway because of air-conditioning issues, and the new bus driver was very experienced with about 20 years of driving with the company.
The passengers were trapped inside the bus for about an hour following the collision, before being rescued by the APM.
All 20 of the passengers have been offered full refunds, accommodation in KL and transport back to Singapore.
