Instagram page @kuayewism shared a video yesterday (15 July) showing a man taking off his shirt at a food court at Sim Lim Square, and climbing on top of a table and shouting.
He was seen in the video saying that he is a “little mouse” who likes to run around the street, ad that people can’t chase him away.
A man was seen approaching him and asking him to come down from the table, but the PRC man refused and the man said that he was going to call security.
The man then went on a rant about why must he use money to exchange for food when he is hungry, and asks if he should starve just because he has no money.
Here is what he said
I am a little mouse. I like to run around in the street, people can’t chase me away because this is my home.
Now what do you think, from a human perspective, when a person is hungry, should he eat? should he eat? Then why do we use money to exchange for food?
WHY DO WE USE MONEY TO EXCHANGE FOR FOOD?!
I’m hungry now! Should I stay hungry? or should I eat something? I have no money! what do you think, should I eat something or stay hungry?
This gentlemen over here, would you like to tell me? Where is this gentleman who said he was calling security? I want to ask him, I’m hungry now, should I eat something or stay hungry?
*Security arrives*
I ask you if I am hungry, should I eat something or should I stay hungry? Yeah right? ‘m hungry, what should i do now?
The thing is not what I want to eat, it’s unfortunately the system in Singapore.
WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I AM HUNGRY, I HAVE TO USE MONEY TO EXCHANGE FOR FOOD? WHY?! I AM A HUMAN BEING, WHY DO I HAVE TO USE MONEY TO EXCHANGE FOR GOOD? WHAT KIND OF SYSTEM IS THIS?
*security offers to buy him food*
You order for me lah? Up to you.
