31-years-old Charles Yeo who was out on bail failed to return to Singapore and he is currently wanted by the Singapore Police Force.
Charles Yeo who was on bail went to Vietnam and he is supposed to return to Singapore by July 30th but instead, he went to the United Kingdom.
According to the Police media release, they are currently working with foreign authorities to find Yeo.
Charles Yeo posted on Instagram stating that he is seeking “political asylum” in the United Kingdom.
What happened?
According to CNA, He was charged with harassing a public servant, a crime for which the offender is liable for enhanced penalties of an imprisonment term of up to 12 months, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
He is also charged with wounding the religious feelings of any person under Section 298 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of up to three years, a fine, or both.
He was out on bail for other investigations, for criminal breach of trust and forgery offences.

- Yeo is a lawyer, he is the former partner of Whitefield Law Corporation.
- Yeo previously contested the 2020 general election with the Reform Party.
- He was arrested in Jan 2022.
- He previously went viral for a speech he made stating “成何体统” which translates to “highly improper”
