A food delivery rider was killed in a fatal accident in Choa Chu Kang on 27 September, and 3 people were reportedly arrested for drink driving.
However, all three of them denied being the driver of the car despite reportedly smelling like alcohol, and gave the police statements that were contradictory, according to Lianhe Zaobao.
The trio are between the ages of 32 and 36, and were arrested on the spot for suspected drink driving and careless driving causing death.
They were sent for a blood alcohol concentration test after smelling like alcohol and denied being the driver of the car.
Deceased was a father of a toddler
A person claiming to be the deceased’s relative, shared in a now-deleted post online, saying that the delivery rider had a son that was less than 2-years-old, and that he had just gotten married in July.
Zaobao spoke to the netizen, who revealed that the deceased had planned to bring his wife and child to the zoo, before the fatal accident happened.

A 28-year-old PAB rider died on Tuesday (27 September) after being in an accident with a car along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1.
The Singapore Police Force said that they were alerted to the incident at about 11.23pm, and the rider was sent to the hospital unconscious.
He later succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
Two men and a woman between the ages of 32 and 36, were arrested for drink driving as well as careless driving causing death.
At the time of writing, police investigations are ongoing.
The SCDF also said that they were alerted to a traffic accident on 27 September near Block 130, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1.
They said that 2 people were sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
