Facebook user Ng Yi lee shared that his delivery parcel failed to arrive and that the delivery driver allegedly lied that nobody was home.
He claimed that the driver took a photo of his block’s 1st storey staircase instead of delivering the item to his unit.
Here is what he said
Singapore Post I have been using your SpeedPost service for a couple of times now. Most of them have been successful deliveries, but this time one of your deliveries have completely failed to reach me because one of your drivers lied saying that they couldn’t deliver because no one is at home! Like what the hell?
At that time I HAD someone at home but nobody came to my house to physically deliver my parcel from Lazada, and then according to Lazada’s app the driver just took a photo of the 1st storey staircase of my block instead of delivering the item to my house and then lied to me claiming that nobody was at home!
(If you can’t find the house just give me a call instead! Don’t just do nothing and claim that you cannot deliver the item just because of the driver not being able to find the address properly!)
Is this the crap that you teach to your drivers? Do you people not understand the meaning of fufilling deliveries on time? Or your drivers just don’t understand the meaning of calling the recipient of the item? Neither did I received a call from the driver at all before they delivered my item. And it’s even ridiculous since they don’t even care!
Whichever postman who did this to me should make a formal apology to me along with their supervisor in charge as well. (Please discipline that following driver for delivering that item of mine as well, and I also need a valid explanation from either the postman who delivered that parcel to me or to their supervisor in charge for explanations.
Because your customer service hasn’t explained to me at all in full valid reasons.) This is just a stern warning to SingPost because I have been really disappointed with their service yesterday, one more time if such cases like these happen again, I will probably stop using your service for delivery from now on.
My suggestions to improve your service:
STOP USING failed delivery notifications from now on and at least allow the parcels to be placed in safe places (like dry riser, shoe rack etc.)
Allow the recipient to collect their parcels at post office or POPStation from now on if they are not at home on that day.
At least do deliveries on Saturdays so that they will be much more successful instead of just delivery only on weekdays because this is the reason why SingPost registered deliveries for medium or larger parcels are not successful most of the time!
