A motorcyclist in Taiwan was asked to take a breathalyser test after he was spotted not wearing a helmet and reeking of alcohol, according to Next Apple News.

He apparently misheard the officer’s instructions to blow into the breathalyser and thought he asked him to give him a kiss, and he then kissed him.

The incident happened in Puli, Taiwan, and police station chief Chen Zhi Cheng and officer Pan Zhi Yuan were patrolling the streets when they encountered the motorcyclist, Liu.

They stopped him after noticing that he didn’t put on a helmet, and when they approached him, they realised that he smelled like alcohol.

Pan then asked Liu to blow into the breathalyser devices, which in Mandarin is “吹一下”, which is pronounced “chui yi xia,” which translates to “blow on this”.

However, the drunken man heard it as “亲一下,” pronounced “chin yi xia” which translates to “give me a kiss,” and the man then kissed the officer on the cheek.

Liu was seen in the video trying to kiss officer Pan and got scolded by the officer, who told him “I’M ASKING YOU TO BLOW ON THE DEVICE, NOT KISS ME.”

The man then tried to kiss the officer again, and the latter reiterated his instructions to the drunken man once more, as he scolded him for reeking of alcohol.

The man’s breathalyser ultimately showed that he was indeed drunk, being over the legal alcohol limit to drive.
