Some residents in Singapore reported hearing explosions and feeling tremors in their homes, with the police receiving multiple calls and reports about the blasts, according to The Straits Times.
Some netizens thought that it was caused by car accidents, while others thought it was the thunder but checked the weather and saw that there was no rain forecasted.
Some residents also reportedly felt shock waves from the explosions which caused their windows to rattle.
The Singapore Police Force have since released a statement on Facebook saying that the explosions were caused by the Singapore Armed Forces conducting planned destination activities on Pulau Senang.
They advised the public not to be alarmed.
