After collecting the phone, the man goe missing and remained uncontactable.

Here is what OnePhone said:

Hi all, a Lalamove driver collected 5 phones from our store tonight (6th Nov 2022) and has been missing immediately after that. His mobile phone number says as ‘not in service’. Messages to his profile on lalamove are not delivered.

We contacted Lalamove ,but they are unable to track him down as well. According to them, the compensation is roughly going to be around $200 (goods lost are worth more than $3000!). We are filing a police report Singapore Police Force. Lalamove can’t even provide the vehicle number, as he is registered as a walker.

We wonder how they can assign a walker for 5 deliveries with a total of around 40km.

His name is displayed as ‘Edmund Cheang Kwang Yu’. If anyone has any details about him, pls WhatsApp us at 85111646.

And be careful when you send goods using lalamove in future, especially if it’s high valued items.

Here are what netizens think:

  • Lalamove being Lalamove very quick to divert from the issue. Like seriously…40km to a walker?
  • Probably he is still walking.
  • We have to register with our NRIC and even bank account when signing up. Im sure Lalamove has the details and with the police report, they have to comply with the investigation.
  • sure can trace la… his acct number all lalamove have what. just lodge police report.
  • Don’t say lalamove la. All these are freelance. Even big companies had their fair share of courier ran away with high value packages. So make thing simple. Don’t put all eggs in same basket. Always read the fine prints on compensation and insurance. High value items like this to many location please pay decently and choose a correct service. Pay peanuts get monkey.
