WHERE TO WATCH THE FIFA WORLD CUP FOR FREE IN S’PORE, LIVE SCREENING @ 65 PLACES

A tital of 65 venues in Singapore will be screening the Fifa World Cup later this month, from 21 November onwards, as announced by the People’s Association, Sport Singapore and the National Library Board.

There will be screenings held at 24 Community clubs for the Qatar vs Ecuador opening match on 21 November, as well at at 5 ActiveSG Sports Centres.

Selected football matches will also be screened at the Sports Hub in December.

Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Edwin Tong, also announced the news on his facebook page, including the matches that will be screened and their respective locations islandwide.

Rejoice, football fans! After four long years, the FIFA World Cup 2022 is finally back. I am sure many of us, myself included, have been eagerly anticipating the world’s largest sporting event 🌏

Nothing beats the atmosphere of fans cheering together in unison as their favourite team scores a goal, or on tenterhooks in the last few minutes of a crucial game. And we want to bring people from all walks of life together, to build bonds and experience the electrifying excitement of watching the matches on a big screen 📣

There will be 65 locations across Singapore where all can catch select matches, including the Sports Hub, the National Library Building, ActiveSG Sport Centres and Community Clubs (CCs). The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador begins on 21 Nov (Mon). Some CCs and ActiveSG Sports Centres will be screening the match.
