A 20-year-old full-time national serviceman with the Singapore Police Force, Fahd Siddiqui, was charged with 2 counts of corruption on Thursday.
He had allegedly tried to get explicit services from social escorts in exchange for not reporting them.
What happened?
Fahd allegedly tried to get explicit services from social escorts on 1 November at Robertson Quay Hotel and again on 4 November at Hotel Grand Pacific at Victoria Street.
According to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), Fahd was off duty when he allegedly committed the offences.
Fahd, who was a special constable, was subsequently taken off the frontlines after his alleged offences came to light, and his case was then referred to the CPIB by the police.
He is currently out on bail of $10,000 and is due to the back in court on 15 December.
