2 MEN ARRESTED FOR BREAKING INTO PASIR RIS CLINIC TO STEAL 35 BOTTLES OF COUGH SYRUP

A 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were both arrested for allegedly breaking into a clinic and stealing bottles of cough syrups.

The Singapore Police Force said in a press release yesterday (28 November) that they were alerted to the incident at a clinic along Pasir Ris Drive 10 on 27 November at about 8.35am.

The thieves had allegedly stolen about 35 bottles of cough syrup worth $432 from the clinic.

Officers from the Bedok Police Division managed to establish the identities of the two suspects through ground enquiries and the use of CCTVs.

They were then arrested on 27 and 28 November.

Both of them will be charged today (29 November) with housebreaking and theft with common intention under the Penal Code.

Upon conviction, they face a jail term of up to 10 years as well as a fine.
