Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Jeremy Renner, who portrays Hawkeye in the Avengers movie franchise, got into an accident while ploughing snow.
According to media reports in the US, he is currently in critical condition.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release on Monday that they were alerted to a traumatic injury along the Mount Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada.
Renner has lived in the area for years and was awarded the title of “special deputy sheriff” back in 2018.
Following the accident, Renner was sent to a local area hospital via air, the authorities have stopped short of sharing how the accident occurred or what his injuries are.
The Hollywood Reporter cited Renner’s representative and said that the actor had experienced a weather related accident while ploughing snow on New Year.
He is currently in a “critical but stable condition” and his family is by his side.
