This mobility and e-scooter thing is just going too much and out of control already. What on earth was the man thinking to ride on an e-scooter through the KPE Tunnel? It was recounted that a person was riding an electric scooter along the road side of a Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway tunnel seen early last Friday before daybreak, video down by a recording from an in-car camera.
The Police have understood that they have been alert of the occurrence, and advised anyone with info on the occurrence to lodge a police report on the incident, so that fitting actions can be engaged. A 42-year-old taxi driver, who took down the occurrence on his in-car video cam and didn’t wanted to be named, said: “(It is) tough to gauge his speed as he was planning to change the lane to get accross the Upper Paya Lebar exit to carry on his trip beyond along the road side. “I was going about 70 to 80kmh and he was slower than me.”
Based on Traffic Laws, personal mobility devices (PMDs) such as skateboards, e-scooters and hoverboards are not allowed on roads. Bicycles and other such types of devices are also not allowed on Singapore expressways. The person who rode the e-scooter on the KPE was just asking for trouble
