TikTok user Jayden Pang shared how they had “used up” all of their luck during Chinese New Year and ended up with a series of unfortunate events involving their BlueSG rental car.
He shared the video on to his TikTok page (@jaydenpangg), showing him and two of his friends being stuck inside the vehicle after the car’s doors wouldn’t unlock.
The 27-year-old was seen in the video trying to unlock the car by pressing several buttons inside, but with zero success.
Unable to get out of the car, his friends then decided to wind down the windows and climb out of the vehicle by squeezing their bodies out of the windows.
They had parked their BlueSG rental car at a BlueSG charging station, as his other friend (who had earlier climbed out of the car) filmed them.
One guy wearing a red shirt was seen wriggling his way out of the car through the window, before precariously escaping and landing on the ground.
BlueSG responds
Jayden spoke to MustShareNews and said that they incident happened on 24 January at about 4am or 5am in the morning.
He said that he and his friends only realised that they were unable to unlock the doors after sending their friends off at Sin Ming.
They tried opening the door from outside and inside, pressing the unlock button and turning off the car engine, but none of the methods worked.
He then got in touch with BlueSG and told them what happened, and the company has suspended the rental and offered the trio a new car to drive themselves home.
