We had been married for 8 years and had a comfortable life together. We had been married for so long that I was beginning to think that our relationship was beginning to become stale.
We had been to the same restaurants, seen the same movies, and had the same conversations. I was beginning to think that I needed something new to spice up our marriage.
Little did I know that my husband had something else in mind for our night out. He went Joo Chiat area, a popular spot for uncles to hang out, when my husband said that he was going to that area for a drink. I was surprised and a bit apprehensive.

A month later… I notice that my husband was texting this girl on her Wechat and I immediately suspected that it was a girl he met drinking his drinking sessions at Joo Chiat. While he was in the toilet, I unlocked his phone and the girl send him a voice record telling him to leave me!
But my husband responded to her and said “No”. Which made me a little relive. But I still feel that I have to do something. I took a photo of the girl’s photo from her WeChat profile picture and send it to my friends.
I asked a few good sisters of mine and tried to find the girl and tell her to stay away from my husband.
When we arrived at Joo Chiat, we had no idea which bar to go into and I called my brother. He told me it’s either “here or there”.
We found the girl at the first bar we went into and immediately sat down and ordered a jug of beer.
We told the girl to come over and she spoke in Mandarin with a funny accent. I revealed who I was and told her to back off.
She looked a bit scared as my sister was talking in a threatening tone. After we told her off and finished our beer we went home.
My husband was waiting for me in the living room and started to argue with me, The Vietnamese girl had texted him what I had done. He said my actions were overbroad and he had no intention of having any relationships with the girl.
I then accused him if he did not have any intentions why he took the girl’s contact. He started saying “It was their job to do this blah blah”.
I told him there is always a choice to say NO! He diam diam. Our relationship has not been the same ever since. Infact it has gotten worse.
I don’t know what to do…
