A white BMW knocked over a pedestrian who was crossing the street before crashing into a Hotel 81 outlet on the evening of 2 March.
The incident happened along the junction of Jalan Beser and Mayo Street, and resulted in 4 people being conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
A video of the incident emerged online the next day (3 March), showing the BMW swerving from Jalan Besar towards Mayo Street as it neared a traffic light.
A pedestrian who was crossing the street at the time and oblivious to the oncoming BMW, was run over by the car right outside Hotel 81.
The crash also knocked down a road sign that was outside the hotel entrance.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the BMW driver had likely lost control of the car and was swerving to avoid hitting the car that was ahead of it.
The crash destroyed the front of the BMW, with parts of the car strewn all over the road, and a traffic barrier was uprooted and flung off from the impact.
The glass door of a Cheers outlet beside the Hotel 81 branch was also shattered by the impact with the fence outside the store being dented and glass shards scattered all over the floor.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that they were alerted to the accident on 2 March at about 8.35pm, and 4 people were sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
They are namely the 68-year-old BMW driver and his 2 passengers, as well as the pedestrian who was run over by the car.
It is unclear what conditions they are in at the moment.
The 68-year-old driver is also assisting the police with their investigations.
