Six months ago, I thought I had it all. I had married the love of my life, a Chinese woman who had come to SG to work.
We had a beautiful wedding, and I was sure that our marriage would last forever.
Then came the start of my nightmares
Little did I know that our marriage would be short-lived and that my wife would end up wiping out my entire bank account just six months after we said “I do.”
I can still remember the fateful day when my wife asked me to transfer money from my account to her personal one.
She said that she needed the money to buy some things for our apartment. I had no reason to distrust her, so I made the transfer.
Little did I know that this was the beginning of the end.
Every other week, she would ask me for some money saying that something happened back at her hometown.
While some things sounded like red flags, I didn’t have much reason not to trust her and I did the transfer to her.
Suddenly, she disappeared
Then came the shock of life. My wife suddenly disappeared and was no where to be found.
Her belongings were all gone from our place. She had also taken all the money from our joint account and vanished without a trace.
I was left with an bank account both personal and joint, no money, and no way to find her.
I was devastated and angry. How could she do this to me? I had trusted her, and she had betrayed me.
I had invested so much time and money into our marriage, and she had just taken it all away.
Had to take out another job to pay my debts
I had to take out loans to pay off my debts, and I was forced to find an extra job to make ends meet.
My wife has now left me for a while. I am still struggling to pick up the pieces of my life and to move on from this nightmare.
I am still haunted by the memory of my wife taking away everything I had worked so hard for.
My life has been turned upside down, and I’m still not sure if I will ever recover from this tragic experience.
All I know is that I will never trust another woman again.
