An accident took place on Serangoon Road yesterday (10 March) involving 4 vehicles and resulted in traffic congestion after a lamp post was knocked down and fell across the road.
In the aftermath of the accident, a silver-coloured Toyota was seen in photos and videos being stationary on a pavement at the junction of Serangoon Road and Lavender Street.
It remained unmoving outside the Spacepod @ Hive hostel, although it is unclear how the car ended up being in that position.
Several other cars were also involved in the accident, which resulted in a lamp post falling across all three lanes of the road along Lavender Street.
At least two other cars were damaged as a result, with a black car seen being “pinned’ under the lamp post and covered up with a blanket.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) ambulance was seen present at the scene, along with two other construction vehicles.
A group of construction workers were also seen in the photos trying to move the silver Toyota by pushing it together.
A woman also appeared to be injured, with blood on the left side of her face, as another person came over and tried to stop her bleeding by putting a cloth over her wounds.
The Singapore Police Force said that they were alerted to the accident at about 2.20pm, which involved 4 cars and 2 pedestrians.
Three people were sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital conscious, comprising a 52-year-old female passenger sand two male pedestrians aged 40 and 35.
An 84-year-old driver is also assisting the police with their investigations.
