My husband broke my laptop because I failed to charge his
This was last night. I’m still a little anxious over it.
My husband texted me before he left work. He told me to charge his MacBook because he has things to work on later.
To my knowledge I did plug it in but obviously I wasn’t careful enough and it must have not been in fully. I should have made sure it was working. Something was not right in my mind.
After dinner he went to work. When he called my name I realized it hadn’t been charging. I apologized to him. I can’t remember the last time he was angry with me. He was calm but I could somehow feel his anger.
My MacBook was on our bed. He picked it up and threw it at the wall. It was so hard, I was startled. He asked, “do you like that? I’m not buying you a new one”. I started to tear up and he told me to leave our room. He said “I’m working, don’t disturb me”. I had to pull myself together so I wouldn’t upset our son.
Later I tried to smooth things out. I made my son a snack and texted my husband to see if wanted anything. He said yes and I brought him a plate and a drink.
He thanked me. He said “this was not like you. Your head was not on straight”. I didn’t really say anything back. I was anxious and just wanted to move on.
I was upset about his reaction but I keep my thoughts to myself. At the same time I feel like I deserved it.
It was a stressful evening. I usually keep things calm. My laptop is defiantly broken and I’m sad about that, but I think he will replace it despite what he said.
