According to a worker at the Textile Centre, he told Shin Min Daily News that the woman who was knocked down, was a resident of the Textile Centre apartments and was standing in front of a convenience store at the time when the van suddenly knocked her down.

The woman’s head starting bleeding after it had hit the ground, but was otherwise still conscious, and she then called her boyfriend before being sent to the hospital.

A 77-year-old store assistant working in the vicinity said that when he arrived at his shop to open for business at about 10am, he already saw the police at the scene.

The male driver of the van was also seen lying on the pavement outside his store, and the witness described the van’s front wheels as being out of shape because of the accident, and that the driver looked like he was out of it.
