An accident took place along the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 3 and Elias Road on 22 April on Saturday night (22 April), involving 2 cars.
In the video that was shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page,a BlueSG car could be seen beating a red light at the junction.
Another car was driving through the junction at the same time, and the BlueSG car then crashed into the side of the other car.
The BlueSG car then skidded across the junction, with its headlights immediately going out after crashing into the other car.
The video also included the POV from the dashcam of the other car, as it drove across the traffic junction when the traffic light was yellow.
The footage, believed to have been sent in by the son/daughter of the driver in the other car, said that the red light for the BlueSG car would’ve stayed red for about another 30 seconds because there was still a green arrow light after.
They said that their father couldn’t see the BlueSG car at the time because there was a line of cars on his right side.
The Singapore Police Force also added that they were alerted to the accident on 22 April at about 10.50pm, saying that a 58-year-old male car driver and his 56-year-old female passenger, along with a 28-year-old female car driver, were conveyed to the hospital conscious.
The female car driver is currently assisting the police with their investigations into the incident.

My dad crossed the junction while the traffic light is still yellow. Bluesg beat the red and collided into my dad’s car on the driver side. The light for the blue sg is still red and will be for at least another 30seconds as there is still green arrow after.

1) 100% the BlueSG car driver at fault.
2) Defensive driving always provides a second layer of defence against such blatant, errant driving.
3) If the cam car driver practises defensive driving going forward, he will save himself a world of hurt / trouble. - Accident investigations is always about the chain of events that led to the accident. If cam car didn’t choose to go on yellow, accident would not have happened even if bluesg beat red light (At least not with cam car). Definitely bluesg fault, if camcar was driving defensively, would have saved him a whole lot of trouble.
- I’m not sure about the speed but from the looks of it. Your dad can definitely brake before the traffic light. Don’t blame the bluesg car lol. This incident could have been prevented.
- Lol.. yellow means prep to stop.. at that speed can definitely stop in time.. but still choose to chiong… Both cars lol
