Describing his meal as the “worst restaurant experience in Singapore”, the netizen said that he was served undercooked chicken and posted a series of photos of the “medium rare” chicken that he was given.

The chicken meat inside were still pinkish and raw underneath the cooked exterior, and the OP said in the comments “what if I wasn’t careful and carelessly ate the chicken? This is a real eye opener even the pricier restaurants can serve raw meat.”

He added that they told the restaurant about the issue and they allegedly didn’t admit their mistake, he also added that they staff tried to “make excuses, claiming that the chicken was cooked for 2 hours.”.

Netizens’ comments

  1. Could have just return the chicken and ask for a new one
  2. You should have given them a chance to correct themselves. One day you might find yourself needing a second chance as well.
  3. The chicken is basically yelling I’m still raw
  4. The chicken is so raw it’s still crossing the road.
  5. The chicken is so raw a vet could’ve saved it and brought it back to life.
  6. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because they didn’t cook it.
  7. Tats medium rare!! Who eats well-done chicken
  8. My kranji camp 2 cookhouse chicken also same colour but we cannot complain

Food poisoning

Raw or undercooked chicken can contain harmful bacteria such as salmonella, campylobacter, and E. coli. These bacteria can cause food poisoning, which can lead to a range of symptoms, including fever, stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea. In severe cases, food poisoning can lead to dehydration, hospitalization, or even death.

One of the biggest risks of eating undercooked chicken is salmonella infection. Salmonella is a type of bacteria that is commonly found in raw poultry, eggs, and meat. When chicken is not cooked properly, the salmonella bacteria can survive, leading to a salmonella infection.

Symptoms of salmonella infection typically include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. In some cases, salmonella infection can lead to sepsis, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical attention.
