Facebook user Julie Chan said in a backdated post that she paid $580 for a bag of cordyceps from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shop at Bugis.
She said that she bought it because the shop staff told her that it can be given to her 1-year-old baby with kidney problems, and the staff then grounded the cordyceps into a powder.
However, Chan then went to check with a doctor and other TCM shops, who told her that the cordyceps are too strong for children, so she then kept in inside a cabinet and didn’t give it to her baby.
However, she later took out the cordyceps 1 month later and found that it had turned colour, and when she brought it back tot the shop that she bought it from, they told her that it had already spoiled.
The staff allegedly told her that it spoiled because she didn’t keep it in the fridge.
Here is what she said
On 4 December i went to this shop at Bugis bought 1 bag Cordyceps $580 for my child !
Because the lady recommended this can give my babe 1yo with kidney problems can take !! And she bring the cordyceps grind to a powder!
But after that I double check with doctor and other old Chinese shop is too strong for children ! But i still keep it at the cabinet .
Untill yesterday i take out the cordyceps turn color ,i bring to the shop ask she say already spoil sia
The service is really really bad with recommendation to a 1yo baby to take and today when i back , she say i never keep in the fridge so that will spoil after 1m but when sell she never tell customer how to keep and where to keep just want to sell only .
