39 Y.O S’PORE MAN ARRESTED DURING DRUG RAID, THREW DRUGS INTO TOILET BOWL

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said in a press release that they arrested 5 Singaporeans for suspected drug offences during anti-drug operations conducted on Monday (15 May).

A total of about 2,797g of heroin, 3,361g of cannabis, 384g of Ice, 43 tablets of Ecstacy and 162 Erimin-5 tablets were seized by officers during the raid.

4 of the arrested persons were caught during a raid at Senja Road on the evening of 15 May, and among them was a 33-year-old man who was arrested at the staircase landing of a residential block for suspected drug trafficking.

About 956g of heroin and 24g of Ice was found on him after officers performed a search on the suspect.

He had been seen leaving a flat in the same block, and officers then raided the flat and arrested 3 occupants aged 16, 17 and 39 inside for alleged drug offences; they had refused to open the door and the CNB officers had to use forced entry to gain access into the unit.

The 39-year-old who was arrested was caught in the toilet where he had allegedly disposed the drugs into the toilet bowl, and about 1,841g of heroin, 331g of Ice, 43 Ecstacy tablets and 162 Erimin-5 tablets were seized from the unit, including offensive weapons and several drug paraphernalia.

Officers also conducted another operation at Serangoon North Avenue 1 that same evening, with a 26-year-old Singaporean man being arrested for suspected drug trafficking as well.

About 10g of ice was seized from him after a search was conducted, and he was then escorted to a residential unit where officers found 19g of ice, 3,361g of cannabis, e-vaporisers used to consume the vaporiser pods that contained cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.

CNB said that investigations into all the arrested drug suspects are currently underway.
