A woman from the HDB block confronted another woman at a coffee shop due to excessive noise late at night. The woman at the coffeeshop retaliated by shouting back, resulting in both of them continuously exchanging vulgarities in Hokkien, specifically using the profanity “Chee Bye.”
Unfortunately, their argument only escalated and contributed to further noise disturbance in the neighbourhood.
Video of incident:
The peaceful atmosphere of the HDB block was shattered one night when a confrontation erupted between two women at a nearby coffeeshop. The reason behind the conflict was the excessive noise emanating from the coffeeshop, disturbing the tranquility of the late hours.
Frustrated by the disturbance, a woman residing in the HDB block decided to address the issue directly. She approached the woman responsible for the noise, intending to request some consideration for the residents in the vicinity. However, tensions quickly escalated as the woman at the coffeeshop, feeling defensive, responded with equal aggression.
The exchange of heated words between the two women became increasingly intense. They resorted to using Hokkien, a dialect commonly spoken in the area, and unleashed a barrage of vulgarities, specifically employing the profanity “Chee Bye.” The profanities echoed through the coffeeshop, fueling the already heated atmosphere.
Unfortunately, their confrontation only served to exacerbate the situation, as their shouts and vulgar language drew the attention of others in the coffeeshop and the surrounding area. Spectators gathered, further adding to the noise and commotion. The once-peaceful neighborhood was now consumed by a cacophony of angry voices and shouting matches.
The disturbance not only affected those directly involved but also disrupted the peace and serenity of the entire neighborhood. Residents in nearby apartments were awakened by the escalating noise, their sleep disturbed and their patience tested. The incident became a topic of discussion among the community, with neighbors expressing their frustration and concern about the deteriorating situation.
