WOMAN NOT HAPPY NEIGHBOUR PUT PLANTS OUTSIDE WITHOUT ASKING, SAY GOT BEE FLY IN HER HOME

Facebook user Eileen Seah shared how her neighbours placed potted plants outside their homes and along the corridor, which upset her because the plants are outside her door.

She said that it is a breeding ground for insects, and that she is suffering because of her fear of insects and the “risk of poisoning” from the sprays.

She said that she has a phobia of insects and had twice attempted to hurt herself because there were cockroaches in her house.

She also added that her counsellor told her to call the police and tell them that she wants to hurt herself if her family and friends are not around to “rescue (her) at home” from the insects.

Seah also added that her mother and her have been spraying a lot of pesticide on the doorway to repel the insects, and that a bee had flown in to her home due to the plant outside, and she took some sedatives because she had an anxiety attack.

  1. If I’m uncomfortable I’ll not hesitate to politely tell the neighbour about it. Am sure they will understand and remove it. It happened to me at my previous place. No issue.
  2. Gracious living guys…life is already so hectic.. if you can live with it..just ignore ..if really too messy as in like hording or blocking everyone’s path…then do what must be done…”this is the way”..
  3. Just have a nice chat to your neighbor and tell them your concern and hope they can adjust their plants away from your side…
I believe your neighbor will be understanding after hearing from you.
  4. My neighbours have plants along the corridor. If they are not in front of my door, then the common corridor is shared space. I love plants for the greenery that Singapore is trying to promote. Except some went too far and almost grow a shrub!
Tolerance is not always easy. But we must practice it if we want to close our eyes and ignore them. If too much, there is always solutions to problems. Before we act, need to consider whether we are giving trouble to others – one Buddhist Venerable monk said it.
