Facebook user Ah Ping Goh shared how he was at a provision shop when he noticed a group of boys trying their luck with a Pokemon machine outside.
However, upon putting their money inside the machine, nothing came out and they ended up having their money “gobbled” by the machine instead.
The netizen then went to approach the owner and told him about the faulty machine outside his shop but the shopkeeper allegedly just shrugged his shoulder in response.
The netizen said that he also tried to call the vendor via the phone number listed on the machine but the phone number was allegedly invalid.
Here is what he said
Location: I was at *shop name and address redacted* to collect online orders. Saw these boys playing at the machine.
Issue: The Pokémon machine was malfunctioned and these boys approached the shopkeeper and feedback that the POKÉMON machine gobbled up their money without any output. Owner simply shrugged his shoulder, no actions rendered. Seeing uncle’s response, I was annoyed.
Me. Uncle. You mending those machines right?
Shopkeeper. Yes.
Me. Please then help the boys. Your responsibility!!
I tried calling the vendor but hp is not a valid one.
Don’t cheat children’s money leh.
Netizens’ comments
- shop will know who to contact, at least can return the money to the boys first then claim from the supplier.
- Happened to my kids many times too. Those machine placed at shopping mall r same issues. But there r no one around to get responses. Should banned all this lousy quality machine.
- The shop owner can go check and its really faulty can return the money to the kids de. After that can call for repair. Ask the kids go play at other side provision shop better since this shop is so irresponsible
- They have the same machine at bedok as well. Happened to my son and nephew as well. But I was slightly luckier because the machine is placed right outside a tuition centre and the tuition center admin helped me to call the machine owner. They then paynow me the money.
