An industrial fire the size of a football field broke out at Tuas Link at a building which houses and distributes chemicals, resulting in 100 SCDF personnel and 30 emergency vehicles being activated to deal with the fire.
In the process, one firefighter was sent to the hospital after suffering giddiness during the firefighting operations.

SCDF resources are currently at scene conducting firefighting operation.

On 5 July 2023 at about 2:05 a.m., SCDF was alerted to a fire at the abovementioned location.
The fire was raging at the premises upon SCDF’s arrival.
Firefighters from Tuas Fire Station, Tuas View Fire Station and Special Response Unit worked quickly to deploy four water jets and an Unmanned Firefighting Machine to surround the fire and prevent it from spreading to the neighbouring premises.
Firefighting operations are ongoing. There are no reported injuries at the time of this posit.

Early this morning , SCDF was alerted to a fire at the abovementioned location. SCDF is at the scene conducting firefighting operations.
The fire, about the size of a football field, fully engulfed the premises, which stores and distributes chemicals.
Firefighters have brought the fire under control with 5 water and foam jets, and 2 Unmanned Firefighting Machines.
In view of the ongoing firefighting operation, members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

On 5 July, at about 2:05 a.m, SCDF was alerted to a fire at the above location.
The fire, the size of one football field, had engulfed the premises, which stores and distributes chemicals.
A total of 30 emergency vehicles and about 100 personnel were deployed for this incident.
At the height of the firefighting operation, SCDF firefighters deployed 5 water and foam jets and 2 Unmanned Firefighting Machines. The fire was brought under control at about 6:15 a.m and has since been extinguished. Firefighters are currently carrying out the damping down* operation.
SCDF conveyed one firefighter to Ng Teng Fong General as he experienced giddiness during the firefighting operation. He was conscious and stable when conveyed to the hospital. The firefighter has since been discharged and will be given time to rest. SCDF will continue to check on his well-being.
*Damping down refers to the application of water to wet burnt surfaces immediately after a fire is put out. It is to prevent the potential rekindling of the fire.
