GIRL SAYS SHE FEEL MORE CHIO WHEN SHE’S OVERSEAS, CONFIDENCE SHOOT UP TO 10/10

Guys & girls, do you feel 1000x more attractive / good looking when you’re overseas?

I realized that whenever I travel overseas, my confidence shoots up to 10/10, literally ‘glowing’ ‘vibing’ as compared to being in Singapore.

My hair, skin, face, eyes, everything seems to be perfect, glowing, on point. Especially in Korea, I felt good about myself. Some said that it’s because you’re in a world of beauty (Korea) you’re surrounded by fashionable / good looking etc people hence you tend to feel like you’re one of them.

Some said you’ll look better because you’re at your most relaxed and happiest state when traveling, just being yourself. Or probably being a ‘foreigner’ makes you feel unique.

Some also said it’s due to the environment. Eg The weather, water etc that makes your skin & hair better.

However back in SG I just feel like an average potato, doesn’t feel that ‘glow’ or my ‘vibes’ as compared to overseas.

Does anyone feel the same way as me?

What do you think could be the reason?

Netizens comments

  1. i think its the weather in SG, hard to feel pretty/handsome when im sweating my balls off and getting cooked by the sun
  2. Confidence can be psychological. Singapore is quite a gloomy place on a day-to-day basis and no one really takes notice of each other on the streets, so no surprise you’d feel unattractive here.
  3. My skin clears up a lot when I go less humid climates.
For colder countries, I feel more energetic and active because I don’t get so dizzy from the heat and able to eat more.
  4. Partly environmental e.g. drier, cooler air and partly a state of mind thing.
  5. When I visit my grandma who lives at a rural area overseas, I don’t have to worry about greasy face, or hair, or perspiring. Can hang out and chill under the sun or take a 20 minutes walk to a supermarket without looking like I ran 2.4km.
  6. As someone who studied overseas, the vibe of the country you’re in matters greatly.
I was laid back, relaxed, and happy in Australia. Setting foot on Sg soil during semester breaks immediately made me feel stressed and claustrophobic.
