The incident happened in Perak, Malaysia.

The Viral TikTok Video

It all started when a TikTok user with the handle @farhinjeffry shared a video that quickly garnered attention. The video, posted on September 18th, captured a scene that left viewers both astonished and amused.

In the footage, a young boy in a blue outfit was seen diligently jogging along the footpath outside a local police station.

A Mother’s Unusual Approach

What made this ordinary jog remarkable was the presence of a determined woman closely tailing the young runner on a motorcycle.

While this might seem like a common sight for parents supporting their children, it was the unusual item in her hand that caught everyone’s eye—elongated piece of rotan, which brings back staunch memories from every asian person’s growing up years.

The Motivation Behind the Cane

As the boy and his presumed mother drew nearer to the observer’s car, it became evident that the mother was not using the cane to discipline her son but rather as a source of motivation.

@farhinjeffry semangat dik , hidup ni keras mcm rotan yang mak kau bawak tu 🤣 #fyp #foryou #xyzbca #masukberanda ♬ Jiwa Yang Bersedih – Ghea Indrawari
