28 Y.O SOLDIER SPRAYS INSECTICIDE INTO OWN EYES, DIES FROM CHEMICAL POISONING

On September 30th, tragedy struck at an army camp in Johor, Malaysia. Mohd Shamsuri, a 28-year-old soldier, lost his life in a devastating turn of events while attempting to prepare insecticide equipment to combat flies in the camp.

What was supposed to be a routine task tragically went awry when Shamsuri accidentally sprayed the potent insecticide on his face and eyes.

The Unfortunate Incident

According to China Press, on that morning of September 30th, around 10 a.m., Mohd Shamsuri was preparing insecticide to get rid of the bothersome flies at his army camp.

In the process, he opened a bottle containing the potent chemical, inadvertently causing it to splash onto his face and into his eyes.

The immediate reaction was one of shock and pain as the caustic substance made contact with his skin and eyes.

Reacting swiftly to the accident, Shamsuri rushed to a nearby sink, desperately attempting to wash off the chemical.

Unfortunately, his efforts proved in vain as the situation worsened. In the hours that followed, he began experiencing severe discomfort, including breathing difficulties, swelling around his eyes, and painful rashes that marred his face.

Desperate Attempt at Medical Intervention

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Shamsuri was then transported to a hospital.

However, the situation had already taken a dire turn. Reports suggest that by the time he reached the hospital, he had slipped into a coma.

The hospital tried to stabilize his condition, but despite their best efforts, the soldier’s life slipped away at around 2:05 p.m. that same day.

The cause of death, as determined by preliminary investigations, was organ failure caused by chemical poisoning.

Following his tragic demise, Mohd Shamsuri’s body was transported back to his hometown in Melaka, where family and friends gathered to mourn the loss of a promising young soldier.
