An estate cleaner has drawn flak from netizens after he was caught posing for his colleague to take a photo of him at work at around 6.30pm on Oct 6, allegedly as “proof” that he had swept that area of the corridor.

This cleaner, wearing an Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) uniform, found himself in the middle of a social media storm when a colleague captured him posing with his broom and dustpan.
The incident, which unfolded on the evening of October 6th, has left netizens questioning whether it was an attempt to put on a show or simply a misunderstanding.

The incident came to the public’s attention through a 13-second-long video uploaded on TikTok by user Rafeyan, a Sengkang resident.
In this video, the cleaner, who was wearing an Aljunied-Hougang Town Council uniform, can be seen walking behind his colleague, who then motions for him to stand at the end of a corridor for a photo.
With nonchalance, he strikes a pose with his cleaning equipment and proceeds to briefly sweep a small area. His coworker hastily captures this moment, and both individuals depart the scene shortly after.
The video is accompanied by Rafeyan’s caption, “Employee of the month. Must take photo show proof.”
