I have a neighbour who I don’t even know of until my husband investigated it. He’s probably in his 60s, a level below neighbour but not directly below us (unit) has been pouring his urine outside out house. This would be the 4th time.
My husband has contacted the police after his 3rd act. It seems no signs of action taking place. Today before heading off to work, my shoes are drenched in urine. I told my husband to print out his pic and paste around our neighbourhood but he doesn’t like the idea of it.
Other neighbours had the same experience with him from time to time but for me it has been 3 straight months continuously.
Vandalizing his property is a good idea to let out the anger but is it even worth my time?
I want to confront that old man but he could do anything to me or my kids. It’s frustrating.
Update:
Previous neighbour got bashed in the face. Victim no longer reside in the unit (directly below us) culprit have went to jail before. Still waiting for SPF reply.
We have took pictures and videos of the incident. Husband told me to lock the doors even when I’m home. He’s afraid of the uncle getting more physical on us.
Culprit also a litter bug, that literally throw rubbish and pots out the window. Heard from the neighbours below residing nearer to him.
No imh record as far as I know, I hope I can get this over with.

- Don’t put shoes or other stuff outside the house. It will become a target for him . Place the camera at the window there to capture his action. Spread online to shame the old man. Hope his relatives know it and told him to stop.
- be careful taking petty revenge. you dont know if he’s trying to bait you to do something so he can catch you in the act – cos he really go nothing better to do. first thing is to file a police report each time it happens. you want a paper trail.
also write a letter to the town council and let them investigate. again more for paper trail.
then take the paper trail to your MP’s meet the people session. let them know what you have done and what you would like – please talk to the old man and tell him to stop, ask them to conduct a welfare check on the old man that he is not mentally unstable etc. thats really all that you can ask for. the MP’s letter will make the SPF prioritize the incident.
since this is a non-violent, non-urgent matter it will fall into the cracks of “i hope it stops on its own” – the MP letter is your best tool to get some action.
i have been a letter writer for an MP in the past, and i have seen positive results from such actions. - Vandalism if they poured piss on your shoes: SPF. Public health issue: HDB and SPF. Also signs that the neighbour isn’t right in the head: SPF and IMH. Send an email to your MP and cc SPF, NEA and HDB.
