SIAO LANG DRIVER KEEPS RAMMING INTO BACK OF BUS @ CCK, BANG & GOSTAN & BANG & GOSTAN

In the digital age, incidents on the road can be captured in real-time and shared widely. One such incident that recently made headlines involved what appeared to be a car repeatedly ramming into the back of a bus in Choa Chu Kang on October 9, according to The Straits Times.

The Incident

The incident, captured on video, shows the car repeatedly ramming into bus service 975 from behind while driving in the right-sided lane, before a traffic junction.

The car’s actions were not only reckless but also put other road users in grave danger. The situation escalates when the car abruptly shifts two lanes to the left, narrowly avoiding a collision with a motorcyclist.

After this close call, the car comes to a stop in the yellow box at a junction, causing a significant obstruction to traffic. The driver’s door then swings open, further adding to the chaos.

Immediate Consequences

The situation intensifies as the bus attempts to turn at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Road and Teck Whye Avenue.

The car continues to ram into the back of the bus repeatedly. To prevent further disruption to traffic, the bus captain takes evasive action, turning into Teck Whye Avenue, and eventually stops at a bus stop to assess the damage caused by the car. This prudent decision was made to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.

SMRT Buses’ Response

SMRT Buses deputy managing director, Vincent Gay, provided insights into the incident. According to him, the bus captain promptly informed the bus operations control center of the situation.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the bus captain was instructed to continue with service. SMRT Buses wasted no time in making a police report and is actively cooperating with ongoing investigations.

Police Involvement

The Singapore Police Force confirmed they they received a police report and investigations int o the incident are currently underway.
