Are youth today just plain mentally ill?

I’m pushing 30 but what is it today with Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
First got the axe murderer case, then got Pri 6 kids and younger ppl in my family that scroll TikTok 3 hours throughout the whole weekend family lunch, then got a few people show up at internship interview talking about undiagnosed PTSD, anxiety and gender dysphoria.
Now I kena arrow to be mediator because two of my colleague interns sent each other death threats because of dispute between One Piece and Scooby Doo fandom. I “different race so neutral mah.”

- So which is better, One Piece or Scooby Doo? I need the answer.
- It’s partly also thanks to our gen that they became this way. They’re raised by parents who are in their thirties and forties now. So maybe consider the issues behind why our gen are passing down such things to kids that turned out to be like this….
- My theory is alot of these kids grew up basically orphans. In other mammals we see if we remove older members from the group and leave only youngsters they become more aggresive and leas sociable.
- Funny that 30 years ago, the 30 and 40 year olds were feeling the same way to the youth in the 90s. Every generation will say the youth of their day are worse than theirs.
- (OP) In your 20s did you threaten to beat up your coworker and vandalise his door because you liked a different cartoon show?
- Dunno if it’s higher awareness, or their brains just more fragile.
- Every generation, cost of living gets more expensive, parents working longer hours and less time to spend on raising children.
- When you expected to slay Everyday be this and that while dealing with the higher up problems, higher cost, even more problematic people
