According to a netizen, the monitor lizard had been stuck to the fairings of a motorcycle and had to be dislodged. As the crowd backed away from the “pest” and awaited pest control officers to turn up, officer Amelia working nearby managed to dislodge the animal on her own.
Her commendable deed was photographed by an ICA officer.
However, in a twist of fate and logic, officer Amelia is now in hot soup over her kind deed and her act of bravery, which helped save the life of a harmless animal and clear the way for checkpoints to get moving again.
