EX POLICE GOES TO JAIL AFTER REVEALING CONFIDENTIAL PHOTOS TO GANG MEMBERS

A former policeman have been sentenced to a jail term of seven months and six weeks and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 after he was found guilty of showing a member of the public confidential police photographs and was paid for it.

Terence Lam Guo Long had show photos taken during an investigation to dispatch rider Lim Sua Huat, who had told the former station inspector that a gang leader wanted to know which members of the gang was involved. Lam received a total of $1,000 over two payments in return.

The ex cop was charged under the Official Secrets Act and also of corruption. The photos in question were from when police from Rochor NPC arrested a total of 13 people for rioting at Clive Street in Little India in October 2015.
