The woman detailed the incident where they explicitly instructed the delivery rider to leave the food outside their unit.

However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the rider not only insisted that the customer step out of the shower to collect the delivery in the pouring rain but also allegedly threatened to leave with the food within five minutes to “make more money.”

Adding to the frustration, the user highlighted the delivery rider’s apparent lack of basic decency, expressing disappointment that, upon complying with the demands and braving the rain to collect the order, the rider was comfortably waiting under a sheltered platform.

The user, in their Facebook post, described the behavior as not only unprofessional but also selfish and inconsiderate. They emphasized the expectation of a certain level of understanding and basic decency from service providers, particularly when being a paying customer.

The post called on Grab to promptly address such conduct among their delivery personnel, expressing concern over the lack of empathy and professionalism displayed by the delivery rider.

The incident has left the user with a bitter taste, leading them to reconsider relying on Grab services in the future. The Facebook post has garnered attention from other users who have shared their own experiences and echoed the call for Grab to address and rectify such incidents swiftly.

What the woman said in her post

My experience with the Grab delivery rider was appalling on multiple levels. Despite explicit instructions to leave the food outside my unit, the rider not only demanded that I step out of the shower to collect it in the pouring rain but also threatened to leave with the food within five minutes to “make more money.”

What made matters worse was the rider’s complete disregard for basic decency. When I finally obliged and walked in the rain to meet them, I found the rider waiting comfortably under a sheltered platform, utterly selfish and unwilling to accommodate even the slightest inconvenience.

This behavior is not just unprofessional but also selfish and inconsiderate. As a paying customer, one expects a level of understanding and basic decency from service providers. Grab needs to address such conduct among their delivery personnel promptly. This experience was not only frustrating but also highlighted a lack of empathy and professionalism on the part of the delivery rider. This experience has left a bitter taste and makes me hesitant to rely on Grab services in the future.
