According to Ms. Yang, a 40-year-old administrative professional, told SMDN that the accident disrupted her morning commute as her husband drove her to work. The situation took a sudden turn when they encountered a severe traffic jam.

“For about 10 minutes, we were stuck, and the first five minutes were completely immobile. After that, the entire line of cars started moving slowly,” she recounted.

The video provided by Ms. Yang revealed a scene of disruption with two police cars, two traffic police motorcycles, a fire truck, and an ambulance parked on the left lanes of the road.

Numerous civil defense personnel surrounded a black sedan that had collided with the roadside barrier. The driver’s seat of the sedan was left ajar, and the individuals involved sat by the roadside, undergoing questioning by several officers.

Drug related offences

The 40-year-old male driver and his 41-year-old male passenger, both conscious, were promptly taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

In a turn of events, the authorities disclosed that the driver and passenger are currently under investigation for drug-related offenses and violations of traffic regulations. The investigation is still ongoing as law enforcement delves into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
