NSMEN REJOICE: S$200 CREDITS FOR ALL!

In the recently announced Budget 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong unveiled a new initiative to provide S$200 in LifeSG credits to all national servicemen, past and present. This includes not only reservists but also current full-time national servicemen (NSFs) and those enlisting in 2024.

The disbursement of these credits to eligible NSmen is scheduled for November 2024, and they will remain valid for a year from the date of issue. NSmen can use these credits at over 100,000 online or physical stores that accept PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR payments, providing them with a wide range of options to choose from.

This move is aimed at recognizing and appreciating the contributions of NSmen to the nation’s defense and security. By providing LifeSG credits, the government hopes to support NSmen in their daily lives and show gratitude for their service.

It is essential to note that the LifeSG credits are not transferable and can only be used by the eligible NSmen. Moreover, any unused credits will expire after the validity period, and there will be no extensions or refunds.

In conclusion, the Budget 2024’s provision of LifeSG credits to all past and present NSmen is a significant initiative that demonstrates the government’s appreciation for their service. With these credits, NSmen can enjoy a more comfortable and convenient living experience while contributing to the nation’s defense and security.
