A man and woman were arrested for using stolen credit cards to make purchases totalling over $8700.
The police received reports from the credit card owner and his wife on January 30th and February 13th, stating that someone had used their lost credit cards for unauthorized transactions. After an investigation, a 68-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were arrested on February 22nd and 23rd.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man made transactions totaling over 6400 yuan after finding two credit cards. The woman obtained one of the credit cards from the man and made additional purchases totaling over $2300.
The police also seized items purchased with the credit cards, including two mobile phones, mobile phone accessories, cosmetics, and shoes. The pair appeared in court today, facing charges of credit card fraud.
