Mainstream media reported that a 21 year old NSF, 3rd Sergeant Chan Hiang Cheng Gavin was killed after he was involved in a vehicular accident in Queensland Australia during a training exercise.

He was vehicle commander and travelling in a Bionix Infantry Vehicle before the incident happened. A medic tried to resuscitate 3SG Chan who was unconscious but die after being airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital.
MINDEF says training has been paused and an investigation is ongoing.
