STARHUB CUSTOMER CLAIMS. HE MADE TO PAY $99 FOR SPOILT TV BOX

I have subscribed to Starhub TV services for many years. I pay $8 a month to rent a hub station. The hub station allows me to record TV programs.

Recently, the hub station recording is down.

I called Starhub Customer Service at 1633 today. They checked and told me that the harddisk is down and I have to change the hub station. As it is a rented station, the Customer Service Officer said that I will continue to pay $8 a month for the new hub station. But I have to pay $99 to Starhub to buy a hard disk.

But since I am only renting the hub station,, why should I ;pay for the $99 for the harddisk?

So, Singaporeans, be warned. This is the way Starhub fleece its loyal subscribers.
