According to eyewitnesses, the horrific incident occurred on May 3 at around 7:30 am. Neighbors reported that Tarsum attacked his wife while she was on her way to the mosque, beating her to death with a wooden block before hacking her body into pieces in the middle of the road.

In a bizarre and disturbing twist, Tarsum allegedly attempted to sell his wife’s body parts as “meat” to unsuspecting villagers. The village chief, Yoyo Tarya, recounted how he encountered Tarsum, a goat seller, offering the gruesome “meat” for sale. “At first, I didn’t know there was a murder. The perpetrator was carrying a bowl filled with meat, saying: ‘Buy Yanti meat’,” Yoyo said.

The motive behind the murder remains unclear, although it is reported that Tarsum faced financial difficulties and had been visited by debt collectors. Yoyo stated that he was not aware of any relationship problems between the couple.

In a further disturbing development, Tarsum allegedly attempted to take his own life by hitting his forehead against the wall, and asked Yoyo and his neighbors to care for his second child.

The police responded promptly to the incident, arriving at the crime scene shortly after receiving a report from the public. The victim’s body has been sent to the hospital for an autopsy, with the police chief confirming that the limbs had been mutilated, while the body and head remained intact.

This heinous crime has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many to wonder what drove Tarsum to commit such a brutal and inhumane act.
