The disturbing incident occurred on Sunday, July 14, at the Guanpu branch of Kebuke, allegedly as a vengeful response to a customer placing an order just before closing time. A colleague captured the employee’s actions on video and shared it on social media, prompting a wave of condemnation and disgust.

In response to the backlash, Kebuke issued a statement on Facebook apologizing for the employee’s misconduct and the negative impact it had on the brand’s reputation. The company announced that an investigation was conducted, and the employee was subsequently suspended from all duties. The company emphasized that such behavior was strictly prohibited and would not be tolerated.

Furthermore, Kebuke announced that education and training would be conducted at all stores across Taiwan to prevent similar incidents in the future. The Guanpu branch was immediately closed, and the franchise agreement was terminated due to severe violations of franchise terms. The company is also pursuing legal liabilities against the branch.

Refund

In a follow-up statement, Kebuke offered to refund the customer and provide further care to address any physical and mental distress caused by the incident. The company has also hired attorneys to handle the matter and is pursuing legal action against the employee.
