STUCK UP WOMAN LOOKS DOWN ON BF’S FATHER FOR WORKING AS A CLEANER

I just started dating my boyfriend, who invited me to his home for dinner, and I was so uncomfortable.

His father was a cleaner, and I couldn’t help but look down on him for it. I had never been around anyone who did that kind of work, and I felt like I was in an alien world.

Before you bash me, let me explain.

I had grown up with an upper-middle-class family, and I had been taught that everyone should strive for a better life, no matter their circumstances.

But here I was, surrounded by people who were content to stay in the same place and receive just enough money to survive. I felt like I was in a different world.

When I arrived at his home, I saw the state of the place. It was in disarray, with clothes and dishes strewn everywhere. The furniture was old and worn, and the walls were peeling. I couldn’t believe that this was the place that my boyfriend lives in.

I tried my best to stay polite, but I couldn’t help myself from being condescending to Chris’s father. I kept thinking about how he must be so embarrassed to work as a cleaner and how it must be so degrading to him.

I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that I was better than him and that I was from a much more privileged background.

I was relieved when the party was over and we could leave. As we were walking out, I could feel his father’s eyes on me. It made me feel uncomfortable and I wanted to get away from him as quickly as possible.

So yeah, that’s my story, I feel like everyone should try to aim to be the best version of themselves and strive to achieve success, not remain content to be stuck in a lower class.
