TEEN DRIVER CONFESSED IN SPEEDING IN CARKPARK HITTING SG UNCLE AT OPEN AIR CARPARK

On Oct 4 a full-time national serviceman acknowledged in court on Wednesday that he was speeding his Nissan GTR  near the Singapore Indoor Stadium last year when it smashes into a car, causing the driver to suffer broken ribs.

For causing grievous hurt to contractor Teong Hien Sing, 66 on Aug last year by doing an ill thought act at an open-air carpark along Stadium Walk in Kallang during the time around 5.45pm. Herman Shi Ximu who is now 19 had beseeched guilty in the court of law.

Shi, who received his driving license on March 31, last year, had gone to a nearby motoring event earlier that day, the court heard.

DPP Soh advised District Judge May Mesenas to prison Shi for at minimum six weeks and ban him from driving for one and a half years.

He out of bail for $10,000 and to be back on court Oct 17.
