It has been reported a 19-year-old intern who was working at a design firm at Bras Basah Complex committed suicide at the 4th-floor female toilet on the 4 Oct 2017 in the evening.
The cleaner who cleaning the toilet discovered that the cubicle was locked for an extended period of time and she tried to knock the door and see if the occupant responded. After getting no response from the girl. She peeked through the door and saw a woman sitting on the floor.
The toilet cleaner rushed out of the toilet and tried to get help. After the cubicle door was open. What they saw was a young woman hanged with a rope with the support bar handles in the cubicles. The police were alerted and the girl is identified as Megan Goh Xin Yi.
The girl was found with blood coming out of her nose and some blood was also found on her shoulders.
Paramedics pronounced the girl dead at the scene. The police have classified the case as an unnatural death while investigations are ongoing.
