Incident Overview

Reports indicate that on May 25, Cai sought treatment at the Fa Rui Clinic for long-standing insomnia issues. After receiving a sedative injection, she lost consciousness and her vital signs, prompting emergency medical personnel to rush her to the hospital. Although she was revived, she remains in the intensive care unit with a low consciousness score of 3, raising serious concerns about her condition.

Controversy Surrounding Medical Practices

Authorities have expressed concerns regarding the high volume of business at medical aesthetics clinics, suggesting the possibility of anesthesiologists practicing without proper licenses. There are also allegations that nursing staff may have impersonated anesthesiologists to administer controlled substances. In response, police conducted a search of the Fa Rui Clinic on June 1, seizing mobile phones and other evidence from the medical staff present. The clinic’s director, Wu Shao-hu, along with other medical personnel, has been taken in for questioning.

Background on Cai Yu-xin

Cai Yu-xin, standing nearly 170 cm tall, has previously gained significant attention on platforms like PTT and beauty recommendation websites. She is celebrated not only as the “Lin Chi-ling of car models” but also regarded by many as a goddess of car exhibitions. This incident has sparked widespread discussion about the safety of the medical aesthetics industry.

Ongoing Investigations

Currently, police and prosecutors are investigating the case, which may involve charges of criminal negligence and violations of medical laws. As the situation develops, there is growing concern in society regarding the regulation and safety of the medical aesthetics sector.
